1 down

my TT time today: 16:18

Not sure where it puts me, but I think it might be up there. Stay tuned for updates…

Despite earlier thoughts to the contrary, it was a hard course, but it was over quick…lots of climbing for a TT. Not so fun climbing with TT bullhorn bars. :(

So glad I rode my TT bike though, the road bike simply wouldn’t have cut it.

Go Time

Today, the slap of reality connects with my face. I have to go pick up my number for the Fitchburg Stage race and pre ride the TT course. Tomorrow morning at 8am it all begins. 4 days of action-packed suffering on a road bike, plus massive calorie consumption in between. Should be interesting to see what happens. Good luck to everybody!

Butt of course

Don’t do this:

Don’t eat a huge meal of mexican for grunch, then after work, go home to the cherry tree in your yard and eat as many handfull’s as you can cram down your neck.

It will make you a sad dude. Trust me, I know.

Stank Rank

I don’t think it means very much, but this is still pretty cool:

The second season

Not too much to report on this fine day. Got the AC’s installed the other nite (after a trip to Home Despot for hardware), so summer is o-fish-ally upon us. Plus, the cherry tree’s are rockin’ in the back yard. Only about a week left before I am cramming as many red and yellow cherries into my face as possible, and probably end up urinating out of my ass. Good stuff!

Also, now that Mt. Snow is in the books, it’s time to get serious about the road again. Next Thurs-Sun will be 4 days of racing up at the Fitchburg Stage Race, so I’m being careful about my training and eating. Mostly not over-eating and over-training. I feel pretty good, and I think I am peaking now, but it is a delicate 2 weeks for me. I have to avoid getting sick at all costs.

Depending how I feel tomorrow, I may hit up a local training crit, then do the Ninegret race on Saturday, then its time for the big taper-down.

Hammer Time

Today I get into a car that heads north to Mount Snow for the bike race. In this regard, I am trying to stay relaxed and confident. It is a hard thing to do.

Tdcsdvk thrjvdafv

I think about what I have to do the next two weeks and it’s starting to make me feel sick.

Wouldn’t it be easy to just throw in the towel and just become a fat, lazy slob like the rest of the world?  Like stop riding, quit my job, and let the mortgage payments slip. That, and start doing drugs. Lots of drugs…I mean all kinds. Even the hard stuff. I dunno, I just think about that sometimes, and it sounds kind of appealing.

Be nice to just check out, and watch the world fall apart. Maybe joining the Hare Krishnas wouldn’t be so bad either. Or the Army. Same thing, I guess.

Well, anyway thats my thought for the day.
