The topic of this post is not about bike racing

I spent my precious time off Saturday dealing with a clogged main shit-pipe. The sewer line that runs from the street to my house had a nice little plug-up, and all the waste from my house was backing up. This meant that there was brown shit-piss water, laundry suds and god-knows-what-else started percolating into my basement from the cleanout caps (and starting to fill up my basement sink!).

With an impeding rain storm on it’s way, it only meant things were about to get much worse. See, my old house has those fancy rain spout drains that tie into the sewer - a novel idea in its day, but a potential disaster in this case. All the rain water would have just ended up in my basement. Glad I figured this all out in time.

So, I called up Roto Rooter and spent $500 to get the god-damn thing unplugged. I saw the devil himself when the Roto Rooter man produced the foot long culprit with his fancy shit-drilling contraption. But, I’m going to save you the grief and not tell you what it was comprised of. You can probably figure it out.

Doesn’t home ownership rock?
