A few items about this thing we call Cyclocross

- After bitching and crying like a little girl, they finally fixed the Sterling CX race results on the Verge series site, so I am now listed correctly as coming in 17th place instead of a DNF.

- Tonight is the uber-fun Casters training race.

- Matt thinks CX nationals will come down to Trebon, Johnson and Wells. I still think the Kona guys have something up their sleeve, and Wicks is going to take it while eveyone is watching the Treefarm.

Opinions?

I was there…

…the night the first Nice Slice pizza came roaring out of the oven - a few years back. Good times!

Look my face! Takes a lot to make me grin like that!

Happy happy happy happy

I detest the first day after Thanksgiving at the office. Every stiff is talking about how they have to eat turkey left overs. Frozen turkey parts, turkey soup, turkey sandwiches, turkey salad. Blah blah blah. Yeah, we all know, its the same story every year. The lame details of your holiday are boring me. Even all the guys from India are all talking about it, and I thought they had one of those cultures that were smart enough not to eat the dirty bird.

Whatever - it’s just one more reason that I hate the holidays.

Cross season is over in 3 weeks. I can hardly wait to start smoking crack and shooting up horse after my last race on Dec. 17th.

Bah Humbug

That’s right. I officially fucking hate Christmas.

It’s not even Thanksgiving yet, and I’m already ready for the crummy holidays to be over.

Don’t get me wrong, I wasn’t always such a jaded A-hole. Naturally, I thought getting presents from Santa was totally great when I was a little kid. That’s because Christmas is supposed to be for little kids to get presents. Not full-blown grown-ups purchasing items off of each others lists of SKU numbers, or those thoughtless gift cards to some useless Home Entertainment store.

This business of gift-giving (and receiving) as an adult just turns my stomach. Unfortunately I see it as just another day of hauling a load of boxed-up crap and paper home- all stuff which is destined for the landfill anyway. Come to think of it, if the transfer station were open on X-mas, I might consider stopping there on the way home to avoid having the clutter on my sidewalk.

Anybody else feel like I do?

Radio

Doing the radio show with the guys was fun last night.

You can listen to the archived version here.

I think maybe pounding all the beer beforehand was a bad idea. I don’t think anyone could tell though. Does that make me an official alcoholic?
