!!!!!!! Mr. MISANTHROPIC !!!!!

Today is my thirty-fifth birthday. In bike racing terms, I am now officially a master. I can’t decide if it’s a good thing yet or not. For my special birthday lunch, I get to go to the dentist, and get some cavities filled. Good stuff!

Had a pretty kick-ass day yesterday, though. Went for a sweet mountain bike ride with Chuck in the morning at LW, where I only stacked it hard once, but rode some knarly stuff that I couldn’t last week. My family came over and we had a b-day party in the afternoon. My wife made the most kick-ass steak dinner, with special pan roasted potatos with garlic & parsley sauce. Ice cream cake and too much yummy wine was then consumed. I’m a lucky dude.

I have a hangover today.

Saturday, the Chris Hinds Criterium was held down at Ninigrit, in the monsoon rains. I came in 23rd in the 3/4 race…not great results, but my legs felt great and I can feel my speed slowly coming back. I was just glad that I made it through without crashing or hypothermia. Afterwards, I had to bail my wheels out because they were full of H20.
