Strange but true
Best remedy for after an evening of hard Cyclocross intervals?
Do a few shots of SoCo, which will make you sleep like a baby. Then, get up at the crack of dawn and go running for 30 min. Then ride your bike for an hour at lunch. Drink at least 2 cups of coffee immediatley following.
I did it. It works. I feel like a hundred bucks right now.

Cross season begins
Had a sweet morning of running up and down stairs at the Brown stadium with my bike. That’s right, cross season is about to begin, so it’s time to ramp it up my friends! Tomorrow night we start the weekly fartlek rides at our secret training compound. Can’t wait to light my lungs on fire.
Also, Big Red is next door right now at the inner-city automotive shop, getting some love for the big season up ahead. Ghetto maintenance for the ghetto van!

My weekend
My weekend was overall pretty good. I got in about 6 hours of mountain biking. Saturday I rode Lincoln Woods solo, and yesterday rode at Arcadia with HubJack. Good times, and no crashes, if you can believe that. Saturday’s ride was highlighted by riding up on an overweight white trash lovemaking on a picnic table session. How romantic.

La vida loca
I’m having one of “those” weeks. I guess I have cross season to look forward to. Right now I can’t imagine that ripping my guts out every weekend will be very fun, but its one of the only things keeping me moving. Is that sad? Things aren’t going very well in certain other areas. I guess at least I have my health, a cool wife, and a nice house, and a bunch of nice pets. I guess thinking in those terms makes me feel a little better about things.
Plus it’s Friday, and I get to ride my bike a bunch this weekend.
Bitch and moan, and repeat.
