!!!!!!! Mr. MISANTHROPIC !!!!!

I was excited to find out the Damned were playing up in Boston, in a few weeks, at the Paradise. Them being one of my favorite bands, and the timing perfect as it coincided with some of my vacation time. A perfect opportunity to see one of the all-time greats.That is, until I went to buy tickets online this morning.

$70 a ticket!!!

WTF!!!  I think the last time I saw the Damned at Lupos (quite a number of years ago) it was like $15, and I thought that was too much.

What the hell is the world coming to?

If anyone has been wondering why I have been racing so poorly lately, I found out the reason today.

I have fucking asthma.

And, I have been rocking a sweet case of bronchitis for god knows how many weeks. Racing with bronchitis. Wonder how much that has been holding me back?

I knew something was wrong…. there ya have it.

I was riding my bike through RIC today at lunch, I noticed this line of black cars with US Gov’t plates. Also 2 black SUV’s bookmarking the entrance to the library and a whole bunch of guys in black suits and ear pieces around (and some State Police) – I took a pic of the library entrance with my camera phone, and a guy jumped out of one of the cars and asked me what the hell I was doing there. He asked me for some ID but, of course I didn’t have any since I was riding my bike, so I had to explain I was just out for a training ride, and was just curious who was there, etc. He told me to “get moving”…so I did.

I think this must have been Canton, judging by the conditions, and the state of minor intensity on my face. Note the manual wind father-in law’s watch, puckering on skinsuit, and drool forming on lip.

Since I quit racing cyclocross, I have taken up cigarettes. Granted they are only the candy kind.
